I can't believe how the time has flown by since the last blog. We left Phuket and went back to the beginning of our journey to Krabi and Ao nang briefly before moving on...
Krabi to Koh Samui,
Bus and ferry
The bus was a dilapidated old thing. The mechanic spent about 30 minutes underneath welding it before we got on but obviously didn't cure the problem as we kept …

The kids are gorgeous. Their English is better than Paddy's! HaHi Guys,
Happy New Year or as the locals say Selamat Tahun Baru
Bali to Kuta, Lombok. A couple of hours on the ferry!
Now when we read about Kuta and it said no ATM's it should have given us an indication it was out in the sticks. Also lack of home work we got off the ferry to be greeted by cowboy taxi drivers to …

Hi Guys,
Phuket - Patong - Take 2
It was great to go back to Phuket again to visit Johnny and Da ( Steve's brother and partner )
Our visa for Thailand was for 30 days and because we left Cambodia rather quickly it meant we were only going to have 3 days with Papa John and Uncle Chris. So a trip to the embassy to beg to stay longer was a must. Well to be honest there was no begging. 7 day …

Hi Guys,
Bangkok - Koh Samui
7.30pm - 6.30am Night bus
What a hell of a journey, we try to doze but every time we hit a pot hole or take a bend on 2 wheels we jump out of our skins. I am going to try a new tactic next time sleeping pills or don,t sleep at all other wise it's like sleep deprivation torture. 6.30am dumped at small grotty bus depot. We get eaten alive by mozzie's because it …

Hi Guys,
A change of transport this time. Night train 16 hours 1st class ( not exactly the orient express ) but a 2 berth cabin to ourselves! This was a bit more comfortable than the bus. Although they serve up some weird concoction for tea. Check out the video link of Paddy eating goodness knows what.
Northern Thailand 435 miles north of Bangkok
When we arrived at Chiang Mai, we …

Hi Guys,
Ho Chi Minh City - Phnom Penh
7 hour bus trip, normal seats hooray. Horn - High pitched non stop hell!
The Cambodia border crossing hassle free. Visa on arrival ($50), with the assistance of the driver made it a breeze. We had been warned of fake officials who would try and fleece us at the crossing.
First impression on Cambodia. On entering the country there were lots …
